“Untranslated”
Osmyn Oree Photography 2011
The title of this image comes from my thought process when selecting images for my blog and other sites that i use. The reasoning for the title is because when looking at this image i could never figure out what was missing or what it needed to be “approved” by me. I have only encountered this problem with a few images in my life but i feel like every time it happens it’s a good thing. With this picture in particular, I think that its stuck between being a photograph and just being boring. It has the quality of what i want in my photographs, but not the intrigue. Just some thoughts of mine.

I love that you don’t just post what you think is your best work, you also post “failures” as some would call them, but I’d like to also call them untranslatable, keep it up man! You’re great :)

if it’s about model, I’d stop up to be less distracted by BG. Also, model seems guarded. Why? How can you explore this? And in what ways can you utilize the natural light to a more flattering expression? One has to master two languages to translate.

I understand your meaning, but I think it works. Perhaps you could add drama with tighter cropping?
