“Up the Rabbit Hole/Enlightened”
A friend suggested that, along with my thoughts on the photographs that i post i should include the models input on the image as well. So, this post will be the first of many posts where i will let the people in the photographs speak out and let people hear what they were thinking before, during, and after the shoot Their thoughts may also include how they feel about the photograph in general and not just the experience. Let’s see how this goes :)
Thoughts from the Model:
This is an interesting photograph because it is a natural pose yet I feel as though it is not a portrait of me. Although it can be difficult to view like this (as the model), it is a hard photograph not to look at for it’s awesome compositional properties. The strongest triangle created between the light, light switch/posters and model create a visual force which flattens the image. Looking on, I notice more triangles which flip with that idea creating depth. It’s a super feat to have dual qualities of flattening an image and creating depth at the same time. My other favorite part of this is the symbolic quality of including a light parallel to a human brain.
